PART II: Book Information

SHORT DESCRIPTION. Provide an abstract of approximately 150 words for your book describing its purpose and scope, as well as any special features (new techniques, never-before-published information, appendices, etc.). DO NOT BE MODEST! This is critical to the success of your project.

TABLE OF CONTENTS. Provide a preliminary table of contents (chapter titles, plus major subheadings within each chapter). If you have more detail, feel free to provide it.

AUDIENCE. Specify the intended audience (researchers, practitioners, students, etc.) for your book in the space below. What is the primary group that will buy your book and what is their usual job title? Is there a secondary audience?

MARKET NEED. Describe how the proposed book will meet a specific need of this market segment.

TAGLINE. Provide a ONE-LINE teaser that best conveys the concept of your book? Think of this as the “why to buy” and keep it to one sentence.
