John S. Steele - Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
He is a Director Emeritus of WHOI and a Senior Scientist in their Marine Policy Center. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, the American Academy of Arts and Science, and received the Agassiz Medal from the U.S. National Academy of Science. His major fields of interest are the structure and dynamics of marine ecosystems.

Dr. Steve Thorpe - University of Bangor, N.Wales
A former chair of oceanography at Southampton University and emeritus professor. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, past President of the Royal Meteorological Society, a past editor of the Journal of Geophysical Research - Oceans, and author of two books on ocean turbulence.

Karl Turekian - Yale University
He is the Sterling Professor of Geology and Geophysics at Yale.  He is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  He has edited a number of journals including initiating the Ocean and Atmosphere section of the Journal of Geophysical Research. His major fields of interest are  marine, atmospheric and surficial geochemistry, planetary evolution and geochronology.
